The Watch Discipline Technique

The Watch Discipline Technique

Posted 24 November 2011 | By admin | Categories: Comic Strip | No Comments

This is a simple and very powerful technique to discipline ourselves on very little things we need to do every day such as waking up or arriving at a certain place on time.

Lay down, resting your head over a pillow. Take off your wrist watch and look at the time on it.

Stick the watch with the face down on your forehead; this act is to state that now you will be thinking about time. Take a deep breath a few times until you feel yourself relaxed. Close your eyes.
With your eyes close visualize the watch face displaying the same hour as you saw before closing your eyes… the current time.
Take a few moments to contemplate on the watch and it characteristics. It only goes forward, not backwards. Our watch works day and night nonstop, even while we are not looking or even when we are sleeping. Visualize the watch inside … see the parts, accurately placed together working in harmony, in perfect pace.

Now visualize the event you want to discipline let say waking up on time. See the watches’ face showing the time you desire the event to happen. Imagine yourself getting out of bed when the hands show the time you desire.
You may mentally advance the hands to the next event, such as arriving at work, school or any other daily event that you may have to deliver punctuality.
Even though you may practice more than once every day, the whole exercise should not take over 15 minutes. There is no reason for more than that and you should consult a psychologist before starting.

Why Some Rich People Have Dogs

Why Some Rich People Have Dogs

Posted 17 October 2010 | By admin | Categories: Comic Strip | No Comments

Why Rich People Have Dogs?
Not all rich have dogs, and not all rich that have dogs is like that, but the stereotype I am about to present, fits for sure on someone we know or heard of.
Every human have two basic needs when relating of giving and taking. In every aspect a relationship is made by definition by two parts, a giver and a taker. An abusive relationship is a relationship where there is part taking and not giving in return, this is the abusive part. We all met, know someone like that, and we all many times try to avoid being abusive and being close to an abuser.
What happens do the need to give? Some abusers smoke, drink, since they feel their need for giving suppressed, inhibited, it hurts so they seek anesthesia.
Well, some other abusers find these vices dangerous, yet they remain with a need to release the giving they have inside. So what solution do they, sometimes unconsciously, find? They buy a dog! Yes dogs cannot complain, they don’t threat or sue. Dogs are loyal, and dogs don’t demand much.
Well go on line and make a search that many rich that viciously exploited their employees but had they best for their dogs; The Vanderbilts on the beginning of the century had slaves building railroads and butlers for their dogs. A well know New York socialite died in 2007 left 12 million dollars to her dog, but not a penny for their grandchildren. Were they crazy? No! They needed an escape for their need of giving. They needed a recipient.
You may think, so what? Well the first step is always checking inside of us, always. See if you are giving someone else something that is reserved for someone else and vice versa. Check our giving and taking, every great person does that with some frequency.
Once we extensively examined ourselves and our relationships, is time to watch out for people around us with dogs. Single mothers love large dogs, since they feel protection a husband cannot provide. Little kids are happy to have a loyal friend, and widows like cute little dogs as company. But if you see a filthy rich bitch, with a lot of makeup, smiling at us with a dog in her arms, think twice before going into business with her.

Thought and Speech

Thought and Speech

Posted 06 October 2010 | By admin | Categories: Comic Strip | 1 Comment

this post is based on an idea I saw at the book: GUARD YOUR TONGUE

What is stronger the thought or the speech?
We speak a lot about thought, feeling and affirmation; all vital to attract what we want in life…So what is stronger thought or speech? When to use thought only? Speech Only?
Thought and speech, although similar in some aspects they have very unique characteristics.
Difference Number One: Speech is easier to control than thought.
There is a simple test to prove my point. While it is easy to keep our mouth shut for an hour, is almost impossible, for almost everyone, not to think that long, or even less. Thought many times comes to us against our own will, and even more difficult, we have to make an effort to concentrate on what we really want to focus.
Difference Number Two: No one really knows what you think.
No one can really know what you are really thinking. While when we turn thought into speech, the idea becomes known to the recipient, giving a chance to the listener to accept or not. It is a way of releasing an idea to the physical realm. Once said, it cannot go back, even if you had different intentions.
Difference Number Three: Thought Affects Emotions. We can really say something and feel something else, actually we do this frequently. Some neighbor we don’t really like, but we keep cold, friendly ties. The hello he gets, it is different from the hello someone closer gets. There is a detachment between thought and speech. On the other hand is very difficult to think about something we like, and feel something else, and the emotion, the feeling, is a key factor on attracting.
The Popcorn Test: An easy way to prove that thought affects our body and emotion more than words is the popcorn test. Think about popcorn real hard. Most people can easily make their mouth water, even if the popcorn only exists on the mind, even more than, is hard to think about popcorn and intentionally induce a feeling of hate or any other than the one we really have concerning the item we are focusing at.
The most effective affirmations are the ones that go together with emotion, visualization. Speech releases the idea on to the physical world while the thought affects your emotion and your spirit. Yet many times thought is difficult to control, so we start affirming, since it is easier to control and through repetition, we attain focus on our mind, to think on what we really want, and take our mind back on track to the goal we want to achieve. Be careful with negative speech since, now you know it can induce bad thoughts and, in consequence, attract unnecessary experiences and unfruitful meetings with undesired persons. It is always good to keep the speech calm and clean.

Using Drugs for Self Enlightment

Using Drugs for Self Enlightment

Posted 29 September 2010 | By admin | Categories: Comic Strip | 3 Comments

This post is based on the last chapter of the book In the Paths of Our Fathers: Insights into Pirkei Avot from the Works of the Lubavitcher Rebbe

Using Drugs to Obtain Spiritual Enlightenment
Disclaimer: This video clip is about disclosing views on drug use. We do not wish to promote or stimulate illegal drug use, by any means, whatsoever. This video clip is not suitable for minors.
Fact number One:
Everything in existence has a purpose, a positive use, otherwise it would not exist.
It could take decades to prove this statement extensively, but with a little effort we can always find a good use, a good result, even the worst things that come to our minds. Divorces, prostitution, even bestiality, events that are thought to be bad, have its place and its use.
Drugs themselves are ambiguous. They can severely harm, but many times, they have a noble purpose, and can produce good results.
Legal drugs are drugs just like illegal. The only difference is that they have a “controlled” label on them.
Illegal drugs are not controlled, therefore doomed as dangerous. In fact most of them are. Yet they may have a use that could not be found anywhere else.
My favorite example in this case is pot. It damages the memory, as a proven fact. Nevertheless it stimulates introspection, something that may solve help a lot, if properly dosed.
The regular effect of alcohol will get people closer. There goes the saying: I never drink alone. Therefore alcohol, when properly used, has a purpose too.
I met people that claim to have spoken to spirits or realized how fragile life really is after coming back from hallucinogen trips. Fine, healthy real people, which in many cases had no other choice other than go through these experience in order to keep growing their life path.
Fact Number Two:
You are the only person on existence responsible for your health.
These experiences may be sometimes vital for spiritual growth nevertheless; they can harm irrecoverably brain and body. Many cases, just like a bad marriage, incorrect use may damage brain and body forever; we have plenty of cases around. We all know or heard about someone. It happens every day.
We had no choice about being born, no one asked us if we were interested or not and many of us don’t even know what we came here for, or what we are supposed to accomplish. Our chosen life goals, preferences, ambitions, are invariably different from one another. Drugs either legal or illegal will be many times, a resource, for some of use, like an aspirin, to be used, and then dispensed.

3 Risks for the Poker Player

3 Risks for the Poker Player

Posted 16 September 2010 | By admin | Categories: Comic Strip | 2 Comments

This post is based on the a part of the 3rd chapter of the book: The Steinsaltz Talmud Bavli: Tractate Sanhedrin, Large (Hebrew Edition)

Risk number One:

Winning on poker will attract bad luck on other areas.
On poker no creative energy is being exchanged.
On any commercial transaction there is an exchange of money for a form of creative energy.
In poker the loser is receiving nothing but humiliation.
Poker, like any sport, is about the stronger taking advantage of the weaker.
The law of return is also a factor.
Even if it is a fair game, without any cheating, this relationship is understood in a way as stealing.
So this may cause on the long run to have your money taken away, even a larger amount, for no compensation, such as fines, interest, money lost, wrong billing. I am sure you know several techniques that happen to take money away from us, against our will.

Risk number Two

Even if you win, it will take your further away from your real goal.
Money Has No intrinsic value.
Money cannot be eaten, and most cases obey higher causes, such as our bills, health, and needs.
A key rule on creative visualization is focusing on the end result.
If you really want to make money, is because you know you lack something but you don’t know what it is.
Ask yourself what you are really missing, and once you find out, focus on it.
Money is one of the many, many ways of obtaining what want.
Winning in poker may provide some money, and even some respect, yet I guarantee it will not solve your problem.
Introspection, questioning, and right, consistent, clear focus, will solve your problem, and make you a far happier person.

Risk Number Three

You will lose friends, and even gain some enemies.
A person cannot live without friends.
It is virtually impossible to live without friends, and even more, the more friends, the easier life is.
Poker environment stimulates, the live alone, don’t trust anyone behaviour.
This means that using meditation to go into such environment, will force us to go into an aggressive, non healthy social way of being, against our good nature, leading us to be unhappy or alone.

Maximizing our Profits with Repeating Acts

Maximizing our Profits with Repeating Acts

Posted 02 September 2010 | By admin | Categories: Comic Strip, Meditation Downloads, Philosophy | 1 Comment

This post is loosely based on the book Lessons In Tanya, vol. 5, Iggeret HaKodesh, chs. 21-32, Kuntres Acharon

and on the book Creative Visualization: Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Your Life (Gawain, Shakti)

This time we will be working with well know, proven facts.
And by the way, this is a tutorial about money.

Fact number one.

All possible relationships are divided in two side types:
Givers and Takers. Take your time, and think and you will see.

Many times we cannot be givers, so we have to be the takers
many times we cannot be takers, so we have to be the givers,
and many times is up to us to decide.
A giver or a taker? What do you rather be?

Fact number two.

Affirmations can create a tendency on who we are
and how we behave.

Hyphenate the word affirm
And we will have “a” “firm”.
To make it firm.

Once we state and affirm consistently our goals,
on the present tense, going deep,
this will affect us accordingly

Acts are also affirmations.
and Acts are far more powerful as affirmations
than pure statements, which themselves are already very powerful.
And like any affirmation the more practiced,
the more it affirms, makes it firm.

Once we give money properly, this means,
the right amount, to a proper recipent,
We are stating an affirmation
and we are money givers, not takers.

So if both facts are true,
giving 100 times one dollar,
1 dollar a day, for 100 days,
is far more effective as an affirmation,
than giving 100 dollars at once.

Our spirit and mind reacts accordingly
A period like that causes an impact in our minds
and we get used to the idea,
that $1 is not much,
that we will always have this amount,
to give away.

This will remove our fear of investing
This will project into our surroundings, people we know,
people that see us daily, the image that we are givers that are able to give
and environment reaction will enable to further enhance the idea inside of us,
that indeed, we are givers with a capability of giving.

Until now it may look like is an unusual way
of giving $100 away, for free.
but our thinking will adapt itself
to produce ideas, and actions
to support such habit and behaviour.

Not only that,
choosing our recipient, the taker for our giving, has a great impact on results.
if the recipient is a cause we believe is good and noble, everyone has his own beliefs,
This will strength our ties with what we believe is good and noble.
it may even further excite the noble part inside of us,
and our money making ideas will come from or related, to what is good and noble for us,
therefore improving their quality, making us feel part of what is noble and good.
making us to feel good, increasing siginificantly chances of success.

A far easier way to prove this theory
is just try.
Look at the potential loss,
and potential profit.
worst case scenario,
you just gave some of your precious money,
to a noble cause,
is there anything wrong with that?
